InsurFest Offers Sales and Leadership


Aptly named "Bridges To Leadership," IBA West’s Emerging Leaders InsurFest, offers conference participants over 30 hours of sales and leadership workshops at the two-day event this fall.

"We are committed to offering a different conference experience for independent insurance agents and brokers that combines the best insurance education, sales & leadership training, industry networking and fun into one event," said Joe Hamilton, Hal Rakowski Insurance and Emerging Leaders Committee and Insurfest Chairman. 

Insurfest is packed with over 30 hours of workshops focusing on Leadership in Sales, Leadership in Service and Leadership in Agency Management. Participants can earn up to 14 credits of insurance education for property/casualty licenses. 

"Insurfest was designed by the IBA Wet Emerging Leaders committee to provide excellent education opportunities that will help jump start your career," added Hamilton.  In addition, participants will have ample time to network with the senior insurance company representatives in attendance as well as attend the Digital Playground and Tradeshow, a new feature of this year's event.

"Insurfest is for insurance producers, principals, and CSRs, but that's not all," said Hamilton. "We have programmed workshops and events for company underwriters and MGAS, Risk Managers and new agents who need professional development training."

Scheduled for Oct. 12-14th, 2012 at the San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina Hotel in San Diego, Insurfest offers a mix of business, pleasure and Southern California cool at San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina.

Tom Rowe, President & CEO, State Compensation Insurance Fund will kick off InsurFest with the opening Keynote address.  Paul Martin, Project CAP/Trusted Choice will present PROJECT CAP…” Competing with the Avatars.”

InsurFest will feature a series of sales and leadership development workshops like “Your GPS to Success: The Way to Growth,” presented by John Shaw, FocalPoint Business Coaching. Click here for a complete list of topics and presenters.

Balancing education with advocacy, InsurFest has invited California State Senator Juan Vargas to share his perspective on the state’s economic and political outlook. And Nick Popaditch,  American War Hero and 2012 candidate for US House of Representatives for District 53 in California will close the conference.
