Schubert and Leliaert to Keynote Agribusiness Conference

 

Sandra Schubert, Under Secretary of Agriculture, California Department of Food and Agriculture will speak at this year’s Agribusiness Conference next month in Sacramento. Schubert will speak on the current state of the agricultural industry in California and the nation.

Schubert most recently was an attorney in private practice serving as a consultant on political, communications and legal issues. She has been an adjunct law professor at Georgetown University and has more than a decade of experience in the political arena in Washington D.C., including staff positions for Senator Barbara Boxer and Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid of Nevada.   

In addition, Chris Leliaert, Director of Agribusiness Reinsurance, Catlin will follow Schubert with a presentation on the current state of the Farm and Agribusiness insurance industry.  Mr Leliaert has 30 years of agricultural experience and is a leading expert in the Agricultural Insurance and Reinsurance fields.  He has recently had Agricultural articles published and been quoted in the Insurance Journal, AAIS Viewpoint and NAMIC magazines.

The Agribusiness Conference is a unique opportunity to learn about the farm and agricultural industry; network with agribusiness insurance professionals and to earn the Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist Designation (AFIS).
