ProjectCAP: The Big “I” Digital Marketing Initiative will be presented at the AAMC on Wednesday.
Funded by a coalition of insurers, the Big “I” and state associations have created ProjectCAP (Consumer Agent Portal, a working title that will change as the project develops) to help association members regain marketshare via access to consumer shopping online for personal insurance through a consumer website that will come online in summer 2012.
The website/portal will be the only online shopping site that offers consumers real-time comparisons from the largest selection of independent insurance carriers. It will serve as a portal giving consumers the ability to select local independent agents or brokers for service, customization of policies and advocacy.
CAP will enable independent agencies, brokers and carriers around the country to expand their market share in personal lines insurance explained Scott Deetz, CEO of CAP.
“Today, three out of four consumers do research online before buying insurance,” explained Bob Rusbuldt, Chairman of CAP and CEO of IIABA. “We want independent agents and brokers to be seen and easily accessible online when consumers are shopping.”
