Welcome to the Project CAP Information Center

Created through an alliance of the IIABA and key insurance carriers, Trusted Choice®, and State Associations, Project CAP is a powerful industry initiative with the vision and resources to recapture and expand the independent agent’s share of the personal lines insurance market.

To achieve this objective, Project CAP is focused on the development of two key initiatives:

1. A new Consumer Portal that allows insurance shoppers to compare quotes from multiple independent carriers and connect with local independent agents who can best serve them.
    
2. A new Industry Website that provides independent agencies and carriers with all of the tools, training, and insight required to attract and interact with today’s digital consumer.

We believe if we can expand the independent agent’s visibility to online consumers, enhance the online consumer’s appreciation of the independent agency’s unique value proposition, and advance the independent agent’s expertise in online consumer marketing, then we can reverse current migration away from the IA channel and reclaim dominant market share.
