Ann Oliver to Retire

Earlier this week, Ann Oliver sent the following announcement to members of IIAB Los Angeles announcing her retirement.

After nearly 17 years of working as Executive Director for IIABA-LA, I will be leaving at the end of the year.

It has been my pleasure to work with so many of the independent professional insurance agents and brokers in Los Angeles.  It is interesting how so many things have changed since I've been with you but also how many issues remain the same.  The markets - hard - soft - hard -soft, struggles with the legislature, regulations that make doing business more difficult but not impossible.  In looking at minutes of meeting of this organization held in the 30's, 40's and 50's, it seems that the more things change the more the issues remain the same.

I'm proud that many of the past presidents of IIABA-LA have gone on to serve as directors and officers of IBA West and then to state director of IIABA.  Your efforts have made the difference for the industry as a whole.

This will probably be my last Holiday luncheon and I hope to see many of you who I don't often see there so that I can thank you in person for an enjoyable 17 years with your organization.  -- Ann Oliver

IBA West wishes Ann an enjoyable retirement and thanks her many years of service to the state association.

"Best wishes to Ann, we hope she really enjoys her retirement," said Clark Payan, IBA West CEO. "Thanks to Ann for her more than ten years in our membership office."
