September: National Preparedness Month

Prepare for the Unexpected by Taking Action Now

Our lives can be changed in an instant by a number of different disasters. From hurricanes and tornadoes to power outages and fires we are constantly reminded of this each time we watch the news. Yet, too many Americans have not taken steps to prepare. There are simple steps each of us can do now before an emergency happens and minimize the impact it will have on our lives.

That’s why this September, National Preparedness Month, is all about helping individuals, families, businesses and communities take action!

IBA West is supporting our partner, Agility Recovery, in their effort to educate businesses during National Preparedness Month about the importance of business continuity planning. Agility is hosting free Webinars on Wednesdays at 2 p.m. EDT (11 a.m. PDT) throughout the month of September. Visit www2.agilityrecovery.com/npm for more information or click on the topics below to register:

Sept 7th - “Culture of Preparedness – The 72 Hour Rule”

Sept 14th - “The 10 Commandments of Disaster Preparedness”

Sept 21th – “Resilient America - Personal and Community Preparedness”

We hope that you will take the time to join these online seminars and begin, or improve, your business continuity plan. If you need help in developing an emergency plan, free preparedness resources are just a click away at www.ready.gov.
