AB 1024 (Hueso): Would, subject to approval by the DOI, authorize insurance agents and brokers to sell low-cost auto insurance through an Internet website, and requires the California Automobile Assigned Risk Plan (CAARP or plan) to establish and maintain, or contract with an entity to establish and maintain a Web site, meeting specified requirements, to sell low-cost auto insurance policies to eligible consumers.

AB 1098 (Hagman): Would require, under a law governing auto insurers and direct repair program administration that a request by the California DOI seeking confirmation by an insurer of a fact about a third party auto body repair shop be made to the insurer in written form.
