The new year is here! This is the perfect time to look forward and make goals and resolutions. It is also a time to keep true to all those promises. There is plenty to look forward to in 2011 as insurance professionals. For starters, we are still employed, the market can’t get much softer, clients will (hopefully) start to rebound, which will in turn grow premiums. Also, your IBA West Young Brokers & Agents Committee is planning exciting and educational events to help you prosper.
You can start planning and saving the dates for some awesome events this year. The Political Summit is right around the corner. In fact, registrations have already begun. We will again march to Sacramento in force for an experience you will not forget. On Tuesday, March 15th, 2011, be a part of the solution and sit down with your local elected officials to share your insurance expertise with them. We will even spend the first part of the day helping you to be knowledgeable about the issues that are important to discuss while in the Capitol building. Registration for this event is only $35 and is worth every penny. If you have not attended this event at least once, you are missing something incredible. Click HERE for registration and more information.
In addition, don’t miss the award winning Leadership & Sales Conference brought to you by the Young Brokers & Agents Committee. We have gone back to one of the most popular locations ever to host the 36th Annual Conference on June 9th through the 11th at the beautiful Napa Valley Marriott Hotel and Spa. You will have the opportunity to have face-to-face networking with current and future industry leaders as well as top-notch education from quality instructors. Don’t forget, you will also have a chance to create incredible relationships within the industry that will undoubtedly help you to grow your business and knowledge base, while having fun in the process.
This is the time we need to get most active and support the Big “I”, IBA West, and our local associations. Young insurance professionals are the key to perpetuation of business and advocacy moving forward. We call on you to make a difference this year. Do your part to get involved.
