Commercial Earthquake Program Company Name Change

IBA West's commercial property earthquake program's name is changing. The program’s underwriting carrier, Max Specialty Insurance Company recently merged with Harbor Point, creating Alterra Excess & Surplus Insurance Company. The new underwriting name will not affect policies written through the program. The name change has been filed and approved in Delaware and New York.  All other states, including California, to follow suit very soon.

This is a name-change only!  Every policy holder will receive notification of this change by Alterra.  IBA West members will be notified when the new Alterra policy application is posted and available at the IBA West website at www.ibawest.com.
