Big "I" National Legislative Conference

More than 1,000 agents from 50 states and four countries joined us in the nation’s capital for the insurance industry’s premier lobbying event. Independent agents visited nearly 400 Congressional offices to lobby on agent licensing reform, terrorism insurance, tax reform,  crop insurance, and more.  Thank you for the priceless role you play in protecting the independent agency system and the insurance marketplace.

·         Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas) , Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) focused on fiscal issues.

·         Big “I” Chairman Bobby Bramlett highlighted health care and digital marketing.

·         Rep. Juan Vargas (D-Calif.)  discussed bipartisanship and the industry with Big ‘I’ Young Agents, InsurPac leadership.

·         Northwestern University professors tells attendees they need to learn fast then adapt to social media and technology.

·         InsurPac raised a record-breaking $224,027.50 in April, 2013.

·         YAC Gives Back and the InVEST auction raised more than $50,000 for student scholarships.
